Scheduling ~ Lately, my life is pretty crazy.  Well, crazy for me — the girl who prefers to stay at home and never leave it!  But as running around also affects the boys and their school time, I have a pretty good excuse to ground myself. 😉

We have a homeschool park day on Wednesdays from 2-4pm.  We’ve also been doing a library trip before it at 1pm.  Sadly, when we get there on time, we are often the only ones there for quite awhile 🙁 and due to leaving at 4pm, we are often the first to leave. :(  But due to Awanas on Wed night, we need to get home to get clean and have dinner.

So, I’ve decided that I’m only doing appointments (Dr, dental, therapies) on Wednesday mornings.  Anything else is just too big a disruption to our schooling and my peace of mind.  That means that Wednesdays will be a ‘lighter’ day of schoolwork too – just Bible & history – the boys will be thrilled! lol

Hope it helps!!

Menu planning ~  Last night I looked up and realized it was 5pm and I didn’t have a clue what we were going to do for dinner.  I try and try to get fired from this responsibility, but it hasn’t worked.  Guess I need to make peace and get a plan!

So, I’m going to create a dinner menu and then go shopping!  Here’s hoping it works!

Rambling ~ Being at my SIL’s last week was great on sooo many levels!  Not only did we get out of our house! ;-)  but she is FLYing and doing a GREAT job of it!  A great reminder to me that I don’t have to live like this!  Time to take control of my life again and quit whining!   (But I’ll warn you now – if you are looking for me to be an excellent FLYer – you will be disappointed.  I usually do about 25% of what FlyLady suggests, find peace and ignore the rest.  But as peace is my goal, I’m happy!)

Off to make a menu plan and shine my sink!  TTYL!

I struggle with a simple but nice dinner on those nights when we have to be somewhere – like tonight!  But I might have come up with a winner – at least I’m looking forward to it:

Hormel Carved Chicken Breast (from lunch meat section of grocery)

Fettucini Noodles

Bertolli Alfredo Sauce

Peas

I heated sauce with chicken added (next time I might buy shrimp) and peas.  Pour over noodles!  Couldn’t be faster – can’t wait to taste it!

Do you have a simple – yet tasty – dinner for those busy nights?  Please share with me!

I’m feeling very discouraged….no, scratch that…I feel very overwhelmed.  I can’t get a a handle on my life right now and it’s too much for me!

I’m the kind of person who enjoys my lists.  They help me know where I am and where I’m going.  Yes, I like maps too – I remember my first Atlas.  I planned many possible lives with that big book.

Some of this is after 1 month with JGirl, I crave a return to a schedule.  But then Eric is still home on break – and as much as I’ll miss him and J3 once school starts again – I’m ready to return to a “normal” schedule again.

My list is overwhelming…

  • Write thank you notes
  • Plan lesson plans for remainder of our school year
  • Follow up on various therapists who have yet to return my call

And, everything is interrupted.  I’ve yet to really finish anything!  Darn, I hate whining…and I really hate it when it’s ME doing the whining!!  I’m sorry!

As we are preparing for a big, Big, BIG change in our lives very soon I thought it would be a good idea to put some meals in the freezer.  I just know that the first thing I’m not going to want to do is cook every night.  So, the easier I can make it the better!  I would love to hear what your favorite recipes for the freezer, crockpot or just tips to make life easier at mealtime.

I’ve already recruited my mom to help me get my kitchen and my freezer in tip-top shape – now I just need those recipes and advice!!

You can either reply in the comments or email me! Thank you for helping me!!!
