Uh, oh – this could be addicting!

Thanks to my Dad’s calming presence – I am NOT going to turn into a screaming crazy-woman in front of him!! – and a few phone calls to my techno-savvy/beer-making brother I can actually use this d%&^ MP3 player now!! And, man….it’s fun!!! 🙂

I did make a choice at Audible.com – the Bible!  Duh!  It’s the perfect classic!  I was planning to keep my membership longer than the free month but then I discovered the world of Podcasts!!

This addiction to podcasts really can all be blamed on Roe – who discovered them about 6 mos or more ago and causally mentioned them one night at our knitting group (She knits – she crochets – she’s awesome!  Sadly she got a newish job and we rarely see her anymore :-().  I  logged the podcast information away for “someday-when-I-have-time” and instantly forgot about it!
Then, a few weeks ago when my site went down I found time!  I found two podcasts on Lost (love that show) and enjoyed them online.  But then yesterday my brother explained to me how I could download them into my player and listen at my convenience!!  Woohoo!

And, I found oodles of goodies for knitters!  Check these out:

http://www.cast-on.com/ – my favorite! Well, to be honest…the only one I’ve listened to so far! 😉 A beautiful essay by a homeschooling mom (!!) and knitter that should not be missed!   Also, a fun song called “I hate you” – which as a coverted left-hander (long story) made me laugh out loud!

Technological fun!

My sweet hubby came home from the store with a gift to support my new workout schedule – well, the out of water part of it! ;)   A small MP3 player!  I want to download a book or two at http://www.audible.com but all of a sudden, I’m not sure what I want to listen to!  I’m thinking a classic – but I’m more of a cozy mystery or historical romance type of gal.  So, tell me what you’d download if you were in my shoes!!  Help! I need ideas! 🙂

I’m well!!

I went to my water class today!!

I’m done with school for Jeremy!!

I’m almost done with my work for today!!

I’m knitting a new felted bag for someone special!!

I made an appointment with a personal trainer so I can exercise on my ‘no water’ days (T & F)!!

I’m feeling pretty happy with life right now!  Is it the feeling of accomplishment or some silly hormone released with exercise?  Whatever…it could be addicting! 🙂

Where I’ve been…

Friday after water class, my dad and stepmom arrived.  Yeah!!

10 minutes later my youngest threw up.  Boo!!

I started to feel lousy too.  I got the flu.  Two days later I am finally starting to feel good.

So, that’s where I’ve been.

On the plus side, I finished one of the personalized Christmas stockings I’m working on.  I need to find my Grandma Watson’s pattern to start the next batch – I’ve tossed this house and have not found it! 🙁

I’ve also gotten totally addicted to Suduko!  My dad and Connie taught me how to do it and it’s fun!!
