Our house is in utter chaos right now! I will NOT show you before pictures because – shudder – it was bad. And I will NOT show you during pictures because – shudder – it’s 1:30pm and I have NOT had a shower and I’m now covered in dust! lol

We are moving all the books out of our bedroom…so we can move in a dresser and crib! Well, not a crib yet — yes, we are still waiting for SOMEONE to call us – but eventually! Plus, since Eric is allergic to dust – my friend, Robin (sadly blogless) pointed out that books hold a huge amount of dust!

I’m gathering all my homeschool resources into one place – it’s so exciting! Can’t wait to get it done!! I’m eating at my desk – hiding from Eric 😉 who won’t stop working to eat! lol Silly boy!

It appears that the Lord has heard my prayers (and the few friends with
whom I’ve shared this request). My husband has decided we are going to
home school our oldest son again!

Please, please, please pray for us. He is not an “easy” child….and
yet he’s a joy. I’m thrilled…and terrified. I’m sure someone out
there can relate!

So, in the midst of Everything Else going on in our life….we can add
this! I covet your prayers for my patience, strength and ability to
show him God’s love!

1) No news on Princess. Supposedly our paperwork is in route from Oregon to California – or maybe it’s already arrived. I have to just wait to be contacted. I don’t want to wait. But I also don’t want to be an irritant. If I have not heard from anyone by next week – I’ll be all kinds of irritating! 😉 So, there is little I can say on this topic.

2) For those of you who know me in real life, you know of the constant struggle we have with one of our children regarding his heart attitude. For the last two years or so, I’ve believed that being allowed to homeschool him again would help. I’ve committed it to prayer and asked some friends to pray too. Last night was the first glimmer that maybe I’m not the only parent 😉 who believes homeschooling might be a good idea. Sadly, only more ‘bad news’ precipitated this glimmer. Not what I wanted. No definite answer yet….so, there is little I can say on this topic.

Everything else in my life is sort of ‘meh’ stacked up to those two things…they are my main focus of prayer and thoughts right now. So, unless I find more fun videos to share (I’ve got one in reserve for you all) or something interesting happens on either topic above…I’ll still have so much to say, but so little I can say.

Don’t they say something like there is no such thing as bad press? Well, I doubt it’s true! I love living here – but when I leave town on I5, well, it’s stinks! And, others are noticing too!

Check out what the LA Times had to say!

When I was a kid – it was the Sugar Refinery, but that’s been closed for awhile. I don’t recall this smell last year. I think the smell is primarily around the causeway. Wonder where others smell it!

edited to add – They never asked me to register to read it.  It’s about the horrible smell in town.
