Today was a day I’d like to hold on to when life spins out of control. Again.

We started by having a big family breakfast. All my kids were there, Eric’s aunt who is visiting california, his parents and my mom. There were stories, laughter and good food.

The middle of the day was full of all those chores that a home with two working parents must attend but also enough time to balance it with knitting, reading and other quiet pursuits. That balance isn’t always possible but, for me, the difference between a nice day and a crazed day!

Then tonight after dinner Sissy and I enjoyed our hot tub while Jeremy made us some near perfect marshmallows over the fire.

I’m so thankful for a day like today when I can stop and recognize the blessings.

  1. It really was a full day but not frantic. Great breakfast and lots of variety. I agree.
