100 Things About Me: <\/strong>**Updated 11\/14\/2008**<\/p>\n

  1. I was born in 1966.<\/li>\n
  2. I’m the oldest of 3 children.<\/li>\n
  3. My middle name is Rae….it’s grown on me.<\/li>\n
  4. My maiden name was “Watson”.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve heard the “Elementary, my dear Watson<\/em>” phrase TOO many times to mention!<\/li>\n
  5. My married name is “Osborn”.\u00c2\u00a0 And NO, we are not related to Ozzy Osbourne – it’s not even spelled the same way!<\/li>\n
  6. My parents divorced when I was 5.<\/li>\n
  7. For a long time, I didn’t know anyone else who’s family was broken.<\/li>\n
  8. And, then it seemed like no one’s family was still together.<\/li>\n
  9. I loved purple as a child.<\/li>\n
  10. I still love purple.<\/li>\n
  11. I am a Christian.<\/li>\n
  12. That doesn’t mean I’m perfect, just forgiven.<\/li>\n
  13. The first book I remember reading was Nancy Drew.<\/li>\n
  14. The last book I read (6\/2006) was “BFG” by Roald Dahl.<\/li>\n
  15. I knit.<\/li>\n
  16. I quilt.<\/li>\n
  17. I used to crochet.<\/li>\n
  18. I used to cross-stitch.<\/li>\n
  19. I have a phobia about sewing – thanks to a Jr high teacher. \ud83d\ude41<\/li>\n
  20. My (future) DH took me out on my twentieth birthday.<\/li>\n
  21. We were engaged 2.5 mos later.<\/li>\n
  22. We’ve been married for 21 years. (2008)<\/li>\n
  23. My first job was at Baskin & Robbins.<\/li>\n
  24. I worked as a candle-maker for awhile.<\/li>\n
  25. I cleaned a Dr’s house.<\/li>\n
  26. I worked fast food.<\/li>\n
  27. I was a receptionist for several years.<\/li>\n
  28. Most recently I worked in a Community College library.<\/li>\n
  29. Now, I’m a WAHM.<\/li>\n
  30. I homeschool my 3 sons<\/li>\n
  31. But I also work for a homeschooling magazine<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  32. I have Sleep Apnea.<\/li>\n
  33. I have PCOS.<\/li>\n
  34. Due to that we did not have children for many years of our marriage.<\/li>\n
  35. We looked into fertility treatment but realized very quickly that we were uncomfortable with the decisions we’d have to make.<\/li>\n
  36. We looked into foster parenting and adoption via the state we lived in.<\/li>\n
  37. We started the adoption process in the Spring of 1995.<\/li>\n
  38. Our first son was born in January 1995.<\/li>\n
  39. But he didn’t join our family until May of 1996.<\/li>\n
  40. Then our next son was born in Sept 1996. Surprise!<\/li>\n
  41. He joined our family in December of 1996.<\/li>\n
  42. We had two sons in less than 8 mos!<\/li>\n
  43. We talked about adopting again, but didn’t do anything about it.<\/li>\n
  44. On our oldest son’s 6th birthday we got a phone call that they had a brother!<\/li>\n
  45. He joined our family in May of 2001.<\/li>\n
  46. I got very sick in Oct of 2001. I thought I had ovarian cancer.<\/li>\n
  47. I was pregnant!<\/li>\n
  48. It was a very difficult pregnancy.<\/li>\n
  49. But a very easy delivery.<\/li>\n
  50. My DH resigned his ministry position one week after Joshua was born.<\/li>\n
  51. We moved back home in August 2002.<\/li>\n
  52. Joshua died on February 22, 2003.<\/li>\n
  53. He was 8.5 mos old.<\/li>\n
  54. He’d just started to say “Momma”.<\/li>\n
  55. I still cry when I see his picture.<\/li>\n
  56. I’ve had doctors and the coroner tell us we did nothing wrong, but I still feel guilty.\u00c2\u00a0 I think I always will.<\/li>\n
  57. My sister is Elizabeth – we all call her Beth.<\/li>\n
  58. Unless she’s a stinker and then she’s lizardbreath! lol<\/li>\n
  59. I’m probably in trouble now!<\/li>\n
  60. My brother is Brett<\/a> – most of us still call him Brettsy.<\/li>\n
  61. When he was a kid – we called him “Brett the Brat”.<\/li>\n
  62. Yes, we were mean big sisters.<\/li>\n
  63. I’m 42 (2008)<\/li>\n
  64. Two years after we got married, we moved to Portland, OR.<\/li>\n
  65. Dh attended Western Seminary up there.<\/li>\n
  66. DH pastored a church in The Dalles, OR.<\/li>\n
  67. And, a church in Reedsport, OR.<\/li>\n
  68. He now doesn’t believe he has the right temperament\/gifts to be a pastor.<\/li>\n
  69. But he still loves to preach and teach.<\/li>\n
  70. He is the funniest man I know.<\/li>\n
  71. We are total opposites.<\/li>\n
  72. He likes to be in a crowd…I like to stay home.<\/li>\n
  73. He likes to talk…I like to be quiet.<\/li>\n
  74. But we are a pretty good team.<\/li>\n
  75. I’ve now been married to him longer than I was single! How did that happen??<\/li>\n
  76. I think that’s something to be proud of!<\/li>\n
  77. I wear emerald earrings everyday as a tribute to Joshua.<\/li>\n
  78. But I want to get a tattoo.<\/li>\n
  79. Or maybe I just want to talk about getting a tattoo.<\/li>\n
  80. I love Christ…but I really struggle with the American church.<\/li>\n
  81. I hate to cook.<\/li>\n
  82. I think the world needs more love, less anger.<\/li>\n
  83. I would describe myself as conservative.<\/li>\n
  84. I do crossword puzzles.<\/li>\n
  85. I love to work Logic puzzles.<\/li>\n
  86. And Sudoku!<\/li>\n
  87. All my grandparents are dead.<\/li>\n
  88. We are blessed to live in the same town as my mom and inlaws.<\/li>\n
  89. I’ve been collecting teacups for 18 years.<\/li>\n
  90. My Grandma gave me a new one every Christmas for years.<\/li>\n
  91. But I’ve only recently started to drink tea.<\/li>\n
  92. September 2007 we learned that our boys had a new sibling…a girl!<\/li>\n
  93. She joined our family at 6 mos old.<\/li>\n
  94. When we named her we decided to break the J name cycle….but I still call her JGirl on the blog.<\/li>\n
  95. I’m enjoying dressing her in pink and purple.<\/li>\n
  96. We bought our first home in August 2008.<\/li>\n
  97. It’s not a mansion, in fact it is pretty modest, but we are thrilled to be home owners.<\/li>\n
  98. I was excited to finally be able to paint a red dining room<\/li>\n
  99. and a purple bedroom! \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n
  100. I look forward to Heaven.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
