For the next couple of weeks, those of us participating in Memorizing the Classics<\/a> will be study Psalm 23.<\/p>\n

When I first learned this passage – again, no idea when\/why I learned it, but it was early as it’s always been there – I learned it in the King James version which goes like this:<\/p>\n

1\u00c2\u00a0The\u00c2\u00a0Lord\u00c2\u00a0is my shepherd; I shall not want.<\/p>\n

2\u00c2\u00a0He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.<\/p>\n

3\u00c2\u00a0He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But in this relearning, I’m going to work on the Amplified Version:<\/p>\n

A Psalm of David.<\/span><\/h3>\n

1\u00c2\u00a0The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.<\/p>\n

2\u00c2\u00a0He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still\u00c2\u00a0and<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0restful waters.<\/p>\n

3\u00c2\u00a0He refreshes\u00c2\u00a0and<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him\u00e2\u20ac\u201dnot for my earning it, but] for His name\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sake.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Isn’t it beautiful?!<\/p>\n

Today I read the UnPsalm 23<\/a> too – how many of us say that to ourselves instead of the Truth?! Let’s know the truth so we can counter those bad thoughts when they come!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
