There is a family joke\/story that my sister loves to tell about the time we make rice crispy treats.\u00c2\u00a0 The recipe she had called for 40 marshmallows….so I started counting.\u00c2\u00a0 She laughed and laughed and dumped the whole bag in the bowl.\u00c2\u00a0 I argued that they wouldn’t say 40 marshmallows if they didn’t mean 40 marshmallows.<\/p>\n

That was a few years ago.\u00c2\u00a0 I decided to make rice crispy treats today.\u00c2\u00a0 Yes, my children have been deprieved because I can’t get over the trauma! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Anyway – I buy a whole bag of marshmallows and determine I will NOT count, I will just dump the whole bag in!\u00c2\u00a0 I won’t count!\u00c2\u00a0 I won’t estimate!\u00c2\u00a0 I will just dump a whole bag in and try not to twitch too much.<\/p>\n

But I glance at the recipe on the bag to figure out if I have enough butter…and I see it:<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/p>\n

36 marshmallows (about 1\/2 package)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

ARGH!!!!\u00c2\u00a0 This is why I hate this cooking stuff!!!<\/p>\n

So, tell me….what would you do?<\/p>\n

  1. Count out 36 marshmallows\u00c2\u00a0 (you are my kindred spirit!<\/em>)<\/li>\n
  2. Dump in 1\/2 the package (I guess we can still be friends but I’ can’t cook with you)
    \n<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Dump in the whole bag (you, my friend, scare me! but I bet you are an awesome cook!<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Did you know it’s spelled marshmA<\/strong>llows and not marshmE<\/strong>llows?\u00c2\u00a0 Well, spell check says it’s true, so it much be – but I’m having trouble accepting it! <\/em><\/p>\n
