Would you open an email with that subject line?\u00c2\u00a0 Nope…me neither!\u00c2\u00a0 But my husband would. And did.<\/p>\n

It’s a strange story that started out a few weeks ago.\u00c2\u00a0 I started this post to share what was happening, but I didn’t know if it was ok to share it or not, so I kept it quiet.\u00c2\u00a0 But then I realized I wasn’t sharing anything.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m not very good at keeping secrets.\u00c2\u00a0 It seems I can only keep a secret if I don’t talk! lol<\/p>\n

So, here are the notes I’ve been keeping – updated as of tonight.\u00c2\u00a0 Life is so weird!<\/p>\n

11\/4\/08 – “The Osborns Meet The Osbournes”
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

OK – so technically it’s called “The Osbournes Meet The Osbournes” but this is my story, so I’ll take some liberties.<\/p>\n

It all started a week or so ago when Eric got an email with the subject line “Hi from LA!”. I’m surprised he didn’t immediately delete it.\u00c2\u00a0 I probably would have.<\/p>\n

It seems the Osbourne Family (Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly & Jack) are going to try a new show on Fox next Spring.\u00c2\u00a0 A variety show of all things!\u00c2\u00a0 And they want to have a short segment each week where their Osbourne Family spends the day with a different Osbourne Family (regardless of spelling).<\/p>\n

We had\/have some reservations but Eric really thinks it will be fun.\u00c2\u00a0 I don’t want to be the one who tells him no!\u00c2\u00a0 So I’m sort of hoping we aren’t picked!!<\/p>\n

So far we’ve had a few phone calls\/emails and last night we filled out forms for a background check.<\/p>\n

Whether this happens or not, I’ll share this post.\u00c2\u00a0 But I won’t publish it until we know either way.<\/p>\n

All we know so far is that they want to film it in the next month or two.<\/p>\n

And, we know that JGirl can’t be shown because her adoption is not finalized.<\/p>\n

So, I’ll update this as we go – and will record it as it happens, or not!<\/p>\n

11\/8\/08<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another phone call with the production people yesterday.\u00c2\u00a0 They are sending out scouts next week to take some preliminary tape and interviews.\u00c2\u00a0 Eric will take them to school to check out the classroom.\u00c2\u00a0 Sounds like they want to come on a Wednesday – so they can go to school with Eric and then go to our Marriage Bible study that evening.\u00c2\u00a0 Weirdness!<\/p>\n

I’m still hoping they won’t choose us!\u00c2\u00a0 But I know Eric thinks this is pretty fun! lol\u00c2\u00a0 He plans to incorporate Ozzy into his history – he think Ozzy would make a great Ben Franklin! lol<\/p>\n

All this is so strange!<\/p>\n

11\/11\/08 – So Surreal!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ve been saying this a lot!\u00c2\u00a0 As in, “My life is so surreal!”<\/p>\n

Last night we got the itinerary for Lindsey.\u00c2\u00a0 She is coming to visit us tomorrow.\u00c2\u00a0 She will be making a video, touring our home, the school, attending Bible study with us and generally answering any questions we have.<\/p>\n

I called my sister in a panic late last night because I realized I’d need to feed our ‘guests’ too if\/when they visit!\u00c2\u00a0 What do I cook?\u00c2\u00a0 My sister suggested I keep it simple (as if I can actually cook anything complicated! lol) as it still is Awanas night.\u00c2\u00a0 My sister was really surprised I hadn’t told her, but I guess it’s a form of denial.\u00c2\u00a0 If we don’t talk about it, it’s not real.<\/p>\n

I’m hoping they come to visit us the week of Nov 17 – 21…and then they can help us volunteer at our church for Operation Christmas Child!<\/p>\n

Lindsey just called…..our background check paperwork (both faxed and mailed) were never received!\u00c2\u00a0 Yeah!! I mean “oh dear” \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

I’ll write more tomorrow as Lindsey is visiting.\u00c2\u00a0 Right now I have corners to scrub and laundry to do!\u00c2\u00a0 Did I mention I think something died in our garage?\u00c2\u00a0 Yeah…lovely smell! lol<\/p>\n

11\/12\/08 – Lindsay’s Visit<\/strong><\/p>\n

I haven’t been feeling well since Monday night – but today I woke up with only a sore throat.\u00c2\u00a0 Lindsay arrived about 10 and couldn’t have been nicer!\u00c2\u00a0 She answered our questions and took video of the house both inside and outside and then headed to Eric’s school to get some video of him teaching and his individual interview.\u00c2\u00a0 I think she put off mine when she realized how uncomfortable I was.<\/p>\n

When she came back into town, she did my interview, interviewed the boys, taped them on the trampoline, taped all of us, taped Eric and the boys playing LOTR (which I hope they finish – the boys are finally starting to figure out how it works!) and dinner time.\u00c2\u00a0 Then we were off to Awanas and Bible study.\u00c2\u00a0 By then I had sort of gotten used to her and her camera.\u00c2\u00a0 Crazy!<\/p>\n

She’ll edit this tape and show it to her associates and then let us know if they think we are a good match for their show.\u00c2\u00a0 We did find out they are looking at 30 families but only have slots for 5 or 6 right now.\u00c2\u00a0 She told us more about the show…but I’m not sure it’s ok to share it.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ll just say it sounds like fun!\u00c2\u00a0 I hope we get to be a part of it!\u00c2\u00a0 A very small part – less than 5 mins.<\/p>\n

I know there are some who will think we are crazy for doing this.\u00c2\u00a0 But we are thinking it will be an interesting experience.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I’ll let you know when I hear something more!<\/p>\n
