{"id":1982,"date":"2009-02-22T20:22:17","date_gmt":"2009-02-23T03:22:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/osbornz.net\/amy\/?p=1982"},"modified":"2009-02-22T20:22:17","modified_gmt":"2009-02-23T03:22:17","slug":"thankful-for-distractions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/osbornz.net\/amy\/?p=1982","title":{"rendered":"Thankful for distractions!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The day started pretty rough.\u00c2\u00a0 We didn&#8217;t make it to church when I suddenly realized what today was and sort of lost it.\u00c2\u00a0 I got it together, but there was no way I wanted to be anywhere other than home.\u00c2\u00a0 I posted Joshua&#8217;s picture here and so enjoyed all your prayers and well wishes.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s so nice to know I&#8217;m not alone in remembering him.<\/p>\n<p>We had arranged for my Sister and Bil-ly to come visit today to help with taxes and talk about possible house projects.\u00c2\u00a0 I was so thankful they came even though their youngest had to go to Grandma&#8217;s house as she had a fever &#8211; poor thing.<\/p>\n<p>We ended up having a nice visit, getting our taxes done (pending just one item) and having a nice meal.\u00c2\u00a0 We talked about our big vacation in 2010 (Williamsburg &amp; Washington DC) and lots of other fun stuff.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 (Any vacation suggestions are very welcome &#8211; we can&#8217;t wait to start learning about what Virginia has to offer us!)<\/p>\n<p>Then my friend, <a href=\"http:\/\/whatsheshovels.wordpress.com\/\">Trina<\/a>, surprised us by bringing over a lovely purple hydragea! I love it! I can&#8217;t wait to plant it in the front yard.<\/p>\n<p>And, just now I was surfing blogs and saw that my friend <a href=\"http:\/\/stitchesofgrace.blogspot.com\/\">Theresa <\/a>is buying a house &#8211; in California!!\u00c2\u00a0 We met about 5 years ago in a Quilting class.\u00c2\u00a0 Ever since then, I&#8217;ve sort of grieved over the fact that someday she&#8217;d move back home to Washington&#8230;.and maybe she still will&#8230;but at least this means she&#8217;ll be here a bit longer!
