I love being back home.\u00c2\u00a0 I think of my blog as a local blog – but I probably will never blog about local politics.\u00c2\u00a0 That’s not why I blog.\u00c2\u00a0 However, I appreciate those who do.\u00c2\u00a0 Some of my favorite reads are:<\/p>\n

Matt Rexroad<\/a> – a Yolo County Supervisor who blogs about local news and people and occasionally throws in something cute about his kids!<\/p>\n

Walt Lucas – aka Yolo Cowboy – writes the Roughstock Journal<\/a>. from the Esparto area.\u00c2\u00a0 He has ties to the local republican party and blogs about regional and national news.\u00c2\u00a0 Occasionally he’ll throw in a bit about his church or his family life.<\/p>\n

Marilyn writes Hello Happy Pitbulls<\/a> – not exactly a political blog – but you’ll get more there than you will here! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

With those local political blogs I feel they’ve covered the topic – I don’t need to contribute.<\/p>\n

However, trying to find out what’s going on here has always been a problem for me.\u00c2\u00a0 (That’s one reason I was pleased to be involved in starting the local YMCA’s webiste<\/a>, a site for my boy’s boy scout troop<\/a> and a site for our local homeschool group<\/a>).\u00c2\u00a0 So, I was checking out our local wiki and it needs help!\u00c2\u00a0 And, now I’m trying to get up the nerve to edit our local wiki<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 It is very new — and I know I could add some great stuff — I’ve always been great at digging up information, but I’m scared to actually start! LOL\u00c2\u00a0 Anyone ever participated in one before?\u00c2\u00a0 Any advice?<\/p>\n

And, for you locals – anyone want to come help me??\u00c2\u00a0 Davis <\/a>has a beat on this wiki thing! ;-)\u00c2\u00a0 Are we going to let that happen?!? ;-)\u00c2\u00a0 Note for non-locals;\u00c2\u00a0 there’s a pretty silly rivalry between Davis and Woodland.\u00c2\u00a0 I, in my peacemaker way, think it’s pretty silly!\u00c2\u00a0 Why not enjoy what both communities have to offer and just be thankful we can!<\/em><\/p>\n
