- Audiobooks <\/a>(Download edition – $.99) There is a free version, but I quickly upgraded when I realized I was only able to listen when I had wifi.\u00c2\u00a0 The books are from Librivox <\/a>– one of my favorite places online!\u00c2\u00a0 Great for the knitter who wants to read while they knit!<\/li>\n
- CalenGoo <\/a>– $6.99 – By far the most I’ve spent on an app, but SO worth it!\u00c2\u00a0 The main thing I needed from my iPod was the ability to see my calendar wherever I am.\u00c2\u00a0 Since I use Google calendar that meant I had to have wifi to view it.\u00c2\u00a0 Until I found this program!\u00c2\u00a0 It automatically syncs and updates my Ipod calendar whenever I have wifi.\u00c2\u00a0 Then when I’m out of wifi range, it simply works as a calendar.\u00c2\u00a0 If I make changes when I’m away, it simply updates it when I get back home.\u00c2\u00a0 And, by continuing to use Google calendar, I keep my Hubs in the loop on my schedule and can invite him to attend appointments – anything from a Dr appt to date nights!\u00c2\u00a0 You can see screenshots and learn more about this app on their website<\/a>.<\/li>\n
- Home Routines<\/a> – I’m going to make a whole post about this one…edited to add the link to that review<\/a>.<\/li>\n
- Words with Friends<\/a> – $2.99 – scrabble with friends!\u00c2\u00a0 I love it! The only game I’m recommending today – it’s THAT good!<\/li>\n
- Knit Buddy<\/a> – $2.99 – this might be the only app I’ve paid for which I’ve regretted.\u00c2\u00a0 I was looking and looking for an app for Ravelry<\/a>. When I couldn’t find one, I bought this app.\u00c2\u00a0 I could not understand why Ravelry <\/a>didn’t have one yet.\u00c2\u00a0 But then I realized with the included browser, I didn’t need an app, I can just log into Ravelry<\/a>‘s site and use it with no problem.\u00c2\u00a0 Well, expect that I can’t use it offline. :(\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 But then today I was knitting away on Sissy’s new Sunday Shrug (more on that later) and was listening to podcasts (I need to update my podcast recommendations too – later, later!) .\u00c2\u00a0 I realized I needed a counter to help track the 22 rows of seed stitch ruffle (ugh) and remembered this.\u00c2\u00a0 Now I just tap the screen after each row and it keeps track of it for me.\u00c2\u00a0 So I’ll try to learn more about this app and maybe I will have more to recommend it later.<\/li>\n
- Water Your Body<\/a> – $.99 – keep track of your water intake and get a grade.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve YET to get over a C for the day! Working on this!\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe my headaches will get better if I get the water I need daily!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
