{"id":5562,"date":"2011-08-08T12:53:26","date_gmt":"2011-08-08T19:53:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/osbornz.net\/amy\/?p=5562"},"modified":"2011-08-08T12:53:26","modified_gmt":"2011-08-08T19:53:26","slug":"its-just-all-too-much","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/osbornz.net\/amy\/?p=5562","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s just all too much"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have 4 kids.<\/p>\n<p>We have 4 kids with special needs.<\/p>\n<p>We have 4 kids EACH with their OWN special needs.<\/p>\n<p>We can&#8217;t meet all those needs. \u00c2\u00a0We keep trying, but it&#8217;s just not happening.<\/p>\n<p>This year, I&#8217;m not homeschooling the oldest. \u00c2\u00a0He&#8217;s starting at the local high school for his Junior year. At first I wasn&#8217;t thrilled with this decision, but I&#8217;ve accepted that I can&#8217;t continue to meet his educational needs. Plus, as his therapist keep reminding us, we need a bit of distance. \u00c2\u00a0I think having a break for about 7 hours a day might be a very good thing right now.<\/p>\n<p>I am continuing to homeschool J2(14). \u00c2\u00a0His educational needs are the greatest and it seems to be working for him.<\/p>\n<p>I was planning to homeschool J3(10) this year too but I just can&#8217;t do it. \u00c2\u00a0There is simply not enough of me to go around. \u00c2\u00a0So, today, Hubs is going to the local elementary school to enroll him.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a homeschooler, you are probably screaming at your monitor and wanting to write me a long email about how we are making the wrong decision. \u00c2\u00a0But please don&#8217;t. \u00c2\u00a0I respect your opinion, but we&#8217;ve discussed this off and on for months.
