Yeah, I hated it too.  I never understood why I cared so much about what some people thought!  I wish I had the strength then that I have now.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I do what I want&#8230;when I want and I let others&#8217; opinions (<em>mostly<\/em>) roll off my back.<\/p>\n<p>So, why have I been struggling to knit a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knitty.com\/ISSUEfall04\/PATTclapotis.html\">Clapotis<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.magknits.com\/Sept05\/patterns\/jaywalker.htm\">Jaywalkers<\/a>?  Don&#8217;t get my wrong &#8211; I do love them.  And, since they are so easy I can see why they are popular.  But as I  frogged both items this weekend &#8211; <em>not at the same time, that would have been traumatic!<\/em> &#8211; I sort of felt relieved.  I realized that I was knitting them because I felt I had too.  I was wanting to fit in again!  I didn&#8217;t want to finally get to join <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\">Ravelry<\/a> and be the only kid wearing the Sears brand in stead of Levis!  I mean, look!  Right on the front page &#8211; Jaywalkers!!<\/p>\n<p>I decided that I&#8217;m going to be the adult that I am &#8211; and resist the temptation to knit things just so I can be part of the crowd.  However, <em>if I don&#8217;t get into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\" target=\"_blank\">Ravelry <\/a>soon I am going to die!!!  My life will be incomplete!!!  I&#8217;ll never get happy again!!!<\/em>  (smack!)  Ok &#8211; I&#8217;m better now.  I promise to act my age! \ud83d\ude09  Well, maybe not<strong> MY <\/strong>age but older than high school!<\/p>\n<p>So, what am I knitting now??<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/midnight2sticks.blogspot.com\/\">Shannon<\/a> shared <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pepperknit.com\/patterns\/AnastasiaSocksPatternRevised.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">this pattern <\/a>in the <a href=\"http:\/\/sskpodcast.blogspot.com\/\">Skype Chat<\/a> last night &#8211; and I think they will be what I knit with my LL Watercolor.   Isn&#8217;t it lovely!
