{"id":686,"date":"2007-06-28T08:57:44","date_gmt":"2007-06-28T15:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/osbornz.net\/amy\/?p=686"},"modified":"2007-06-28T08:57:44","modified_gmt":"2007-06-28T15:57:44","slug":"ravelry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/osbornz.net\/amy\/?p=686","title":{"rendered":"Ravelry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>(well, here&#8217;s a switch &#8211; now I&#8217;m copying posts from my <a href=\"http:\/\/knitnmom.wordpress.com\" target=\"_blank\">Knit Blog<\/a>!)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"entry\">\n<p class=\"snap_preview\">\n<blockquote><p>So I got my invite yesterday and I made good use of my time.\u00c2\u00a0 I added 13 projects (finished and WIPs), Queued 2 projects (in other words, things you plan to knit), added 8 books from LibraryThing, stashed 8 yarns, added 10 friends and catalogued half of my needles.\u00c2\u00a0 (I need to give some of these DPNs away &#8211; truly!)<\/p>\n<p>I was very glad I had added my knitting photos to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Flickr<\/a> and my books to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.librarything.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">LibraryThing<\/a> in preparation\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6but I wish I had completed the <a href=\"http:\/\/damknit.readysetcreate.com\/wp\/?p=345\" target=\"_blank\">photo box<\/a> (or started it! LOL) and photographed my stash.<\/p>\n<p>So, to my friends who were wondering &#8211; Ravelry is a great organizational tool but it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s so much more than that!\u00c2\u00a0 You can find others who are<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knitting in your neighborhood<\/li>\n<li>Knitting the same things as you<\/li>\n<li>Just plain knitters!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t signed up yet &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">do it<\/a>!\u00c2\u00a0 If you have and are waiting\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6take pics, get organized, and have patience!
