I’m feeling pretty up!  Maybe it’s because…

  • I was up at 6am and got 3.5 hours of work done before we did school
  • School went great – with the possible exception that we made a mistake when we did the read-alouds while JGirl napped.  That made math NO fun as she pestered one brother at a time and then repeated! argh!
  • Dinner is in the crockpot
  • I was able to work out…not breathing well now, but at least it’s behind me! 😉
  • I was down one pound on the scale.  It’s not much, but that’s after a week of being sick and not working out.
  • The dishwasher is at Sears and ready for Eric to pick up today!

I even forgot it was Monday once or twice!

I just heard that my PW friend’s son was playing the “Choking Game”.  While I’m glad for their sake that his death wasn’t intentional, I’m sadden to think this “game” took another victim!! 🙁

The Choking game can also be referred to as the Pass Out Game, Fainting Game, Black out.   Here is a website to help raise awareness and give parents information on this activity: http://www.chokinggame.net/ Included are warning signs and a huge list of common names for this activity. I just noticed there are teaching tools on the site too!

Please – educate yourselves and your children.  Tell them the high is no where near the pain that this can cause!!

Cindy is from AR and we got to know each other many years ago when I ran the PastorsWives ministry.  Today I received a message from another PW, CC, that Cindy’s 14 yr old son had hung himself last night.

I just got an update via CC from Cindy:

the doctors finally came and talked to us, and it is not a good report. Basically they have told us there is no medical hope, and our faith is all we have.

I just feel so sad. :(  I can only hold on to the Hope that all Believers have that the Lord is in control and He will never leave us or forsake us.
