I’ve been terribly busy and not getting much accomplished – at least that’s what it feels like! However, we did get a new tree. We’ve done artificial since our Seminary years – don’t really need to anymore, but it saves us the cost of a tree! We set it up on Thursday and Friday night DH and the boys put on all our decorations. Some of our favorites are:

  • The first ornament Dh and I bought together
  • All the ornaments the boys have made
  • All the ornaments commemorating the boys births or adoptions
  • The half oyster shell with an angel painted in it – to remind of us of our years on the coast.
  • The globe that a Pastor’s Wife gave me to thank me for my ministry that she said “reached all over the World”.
  • The Fish that I got from another PW.
  • The Flying Pig – it makes me smile everytime I see it.
  • The old, ugly plastic ornaments that were my Grandma & Grandpa’s – they have a piece that twirl when placed over a light. They might be ugly but I love them all the same!

Oh, I know there are more, but I can’t think of them. We don’t have a fancy tree – but we have a great memory tree! All our ornaments have a special memory or a special person we received them from!

But, of course, anytime we go down memory lane, I’m a mess. So I helped very little and cried very much! Oh well…it gave the boys a chance to practice their skills of mercy and love.

I finished the Christmas knitting I was doing – and now I’m trying to talk myself out of taking on more! lol I want to post pics of what I knit – but I think the giftees read my blog – so I’ll post them later! I’m soooooo proud of it though! Just you wait until you see how I stretched myself! I never thought I could really do it – and I did it!! 🙂

Well, Dh is at Christmas practice and the boys are too quiet, I’d better get off here and go see what’s up!

We’ve been trying a new schedule using lots of ideas from the MOTH book, and it’s been going pretty good. Today I even found I could stop at the grocery store and buy 6 items and not mess up my schedule. UNTIL….

Jeremy is doing his handwriting and has the realization that he has not eaten breakfast! DUH! That’s where the grocery store time came from!! Life was so much easier when I had my brain fully engaged in life!
