Thank you for your comments and emails.  You all are such a blessing to me!  Getting her picture and talking to her foster mom have made this more real but also made me realize how much we have to do still in order to bring her home.  A few of the things racing through my mind:

  • We need to update or redo our homestudy.  I want to call the local office sooooo bad…but I’m practicing restraint.  Ugh
  • I need to make room!  Which, in my mind means we need to purge somethings.  Unfortunately, I’m not sure Eric’s on the same page.
  • We need a car seat!!
  • Do we need a bassinett or can we just go right to a crib?  (Thankfully my SIL has a great crib we can use – it turns into a toddler bed eventually)
  • I need to re-read my infant massage book!
  • Bottles and diapers and wipes – oh my!

OK-that was overwhelming – remind me not to do that again!!

In the midst of everything else yesterday I still made it to Knit Night – and my friend Robin gave me my first baby gift!  She’s the greatest!!

It’s a little blankie (12×12) for a baby.  One side is satin (my favorite part of my blankie when I was little) and the other is a wonderful – well, I don’t know what it is but I can’t stop petting it! 😉

It doesn’t seem right to call her J5 – so, until we find a better nickname for blog safety, let me introduce “The Princess” 😉

She looks JUST like J3 when he was an infant!! Now I can’t wait to meet her in person!!  (Pictures were taken with a phone – we are eagerly awaiting more pictures)

Guess what I just realized?  I was sooo flustered last night that I gave the foster mom the WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS!!! As in, one that does NOT exist!  Stupid, stupid, stupid! 😉

I’m hanging out at my mom’s – who had to have oral surgery – and she has (gasp!) dial up!  ARGH!!!!

Will keep you updated!

OH! And, to add further chaos to our life?  Lice in Eric’s classroom.  GAG!
