4 kids
3 IEPs
The last IEP for our last kid.

I expected it.
I requested it.
I am thankful for it.

But I am tired too. Sad about the many, many challenges my kids have had to face already in their lives … And the ones that are still before them.

I think I will need to have a bit of a cry before bed.

In our neighborhood, an older gentleman walks with a cart of ice cream and rings a bell.  I have to say no almost daily to a certain 5 yr old. Today her plea went like this:

Mom! that poor old man. Him is going to get fired!

why, sissy?

Him works for someone, and if he doesn’t sell ice cream, him is going to get fired!

oh, my. What do you think we should do about it?

Buy me ice cream! Do you know I like ice cream? A lot?

Lol

Our life has gotten a lot busier!  One of our boys is now doing two sessions of after school tutoring each week and while he is pretty self sufficient, it has throw off our normal schedule – hopefully only temporarily!  Another one is volunteering two times a week and that’s tossed our schedule too.  This one will hopefully be longer term and give him lots of social interaction and job experience!

Today, added to that, our teacher from the charter school is coming.  I always fret about the meetings before we have them. I SAY I am going to stay on top of the required paperwork, but every time it’s rush to catch up! And, I have NO idea what to do with dinner (the appts are during my normal dinner preparation time so I have to be a bit more prepared than normal days).

On the plus side, the birds were singing SO beautifully on my morning walk.  I wanted to keep walking but a dinner has to be planned and paperwork finished!  I hope you are blessed today!

When I walk my little one to Kindergarten, I put on ‘normal’ pants but I wear my PJ shirt under my hoodie.  I have been doing this all winter.  However, yesterday Sissy noticed for the first time.

“Is that your PJ shirt, Momma?” she asked as I put on my hoodie.

I chucked as I replied yes it was.

She looks at me for a second and says “Zip it up!”

LOL

Oh sweetie, I’ve only just begun to embarrass you! We have a long history ahead of us to which we can look forward!
