I don’t know why it took so long to be asked to write a letter to Santa. Maybe this is just another way girls are different from boys? She is definitely more interested in books and writing than any of the boys.
We aren’t really a Santa family, but Sissy has decided she likes him, and the big boys are excited to help facilitate the fun…especially J3 (who is turning 12 next week, too fast!)
I was definitely thinking fast when I wrote the letter she dictated to me. I didn’t want to mail the letter, and thus lose it, so when she told me what to do I was relieved! I guess that if you leave your letter by the fireplace, an elf comes at night and gathers them for Santa. Who knew? Not me!
So, after the elf picks up the letter, I’ll probably share it here, I don’t want to lose it!
I’m so tired and discouraged and I can’t talk about any of the things going on. Â 🙁 Â I know that some of this is grief, maybe more than I realize, but some of it is not. Â Oh, heck, for all I know it’s all grief related. When does this get easier?!
It is 3:20pm and I’ve already worked for several hours, done 4 loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen twice, started dinner, schooled one kids, helped another with homework and picked up the house.
Sadly, I still have 4 loads of laundry to fold/put away, one more kid to help with homework, dinner to finish, more work (it’s deadline time AGAIN!), and I still haven’t cast on that hat I wanted to knit!
My mantra today:
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Colossians 3:17
