Today I am thankful that this is the last day of school/homeschool and we are looking forward to a whole week of resting and togetherness! Â Sissy is particularly happy about this!
I made it to Knit Night! Yeah! It has been 4 or 5 weeks I think! Crazy! Â And my friend Ruth had the WHOLE series of that Dee Henderson series which I SO enjoyed! Wish I could make the font bigger like I do on my Kindle! Lol wonder if Hubs has any reading glasses handy!
I’m also thankful for my dad who is celebrating his birthday today! I hope you enjoyed your licorice this year, Dad!
Today I am thankful for the teachers my two youngest children have at school. Â I am still not 100% sure we are doing the right thing, but I am very convinced I needed to just focus on J2 this year. Â I am thankful for the man who teaches J3, he’s encouraging and firm. Â That seems to be a good combination for a sixth grade teacher and he has done a lot for J3’s self confidence. Â Sissy’s teacher is patient and quiet, a good model for Sissy. Â She is often overwhelmed by all the other children, but her teacher remains a calm presence in the chaos.
Today I’m thankful for the charter school I’m using to help my 2nd son finish school. Â They have enriched our experience so much in the past couple of years. Â There are many groups and aids online, but I didn’t realize how much personal support I needed until the Lord provided it. Â Now I can look back and see how the Lord lead us to work with this school and to a teacher who such an encouragement to me!
Sorry, a day late! Â But I’m thankful for thrift stores! I love them! I love second hand books!
Yesterday I found a cookbook especially made for food processors. Â Yes, I know it’s just a tool, but I am the type of person who likes details. This cookbook looks like a great tool! Â What should I learn to make first? Â Hummus or Pesto?
I also found a knitting book of patterns! WOOT! Â It’s called “Traditional Knitting Patterns from Scandinavia, the British Isles, France, Italy and other European Countries” by James Norbury. Â It’s all in black and white, but that really helps you see the textures! I’m planning to try out some of these patterns in dishcloths.
