In the morning, our kids wake up and come to cuddle with Daddy as he is watching the news. Much of it goes over their heads and sometimes they hear stuff they don’t always understand.
This morning, after her morning cuddle and while waiting for me to make her waffles, Sissy is looking out the windows up into the sky. She asks me, “Do you see it, Momma?”
“See what?”
“The newsman said there were tomatoes up in the sky!”
LOL I’m thinking it was tornadoes and it was no where near us! lol
A really, true swatch! And, I blocked it! Look at me acting like a true knitter!
This is the swatch for a sweater for me in the cushiest yarn! I’m using size 11 needles and before blocking it was just a little bit too small. After blocking it was perfect!
I’m hoping to cast on tonight but, moms gots lots to do (as one of my kiddos said).
When I woke up Sissy this morning, we had the following conversation:
“Sissy, time to wake up.” in that cheerful Mom voice most of us use when trying to wake our children.
“I’m almost done with my dream.” in half-awake slur
“OK.” Trying to be reasonable, but checking the clock.

…
a minute later, “OK, I can wake up now!”
It made me laugh!
J3 has the remote but Sissy is feeling the pressure of a looming bedtime. In frustration, she yells, “Brother, pick what I want!” lol
