This morning Sissy (4) and I built a fort! Â Right now she’s wondering how to get more light in her house! Â And, I guess there are monsters out here! lol
“No More Tangles” was NOT doing the job! Â We had tears just about every morning over her hair. Â I thought surely it was long enough for Locks of Love by now – thinking the requirement was 8-10″ but the gal at the shop said it was 12″!! I think not!
So, here was Sissy (4) last weekend:
and here she is today:
it’s hard to see but it’s about 4-5″ shorter. Â I think this will be MUCH easier to manage! 🙂
From the FASLink email group:
“FASD is devastating.
What disability results in sufferers being good at small talk but without substance?
Then add a kind heart but a violent temper,
complex needs but no insight,
a small frame with big expectations
and perhaps worst of all,
a damaged mind
but a beautiful face.”– Elizabeth Russell
Today is a day I wish didn’t exist. Â Today is a day for our nation to recognize the damage drinking while pregnant can inflict on your children. Â No amount of alcohol is safe at any point in your pregnancy. Â If you don’t think I’m correct, come live in our house and you’ll understand the long-term affects!
My friends at FAS Families of Faith have done a great job sharing about what you can do to help make other aware of FASD. Â Please go visit them!
My co-worker sent me another great song – I remembered a young lady sang it in church a few weeks ago and it was all I could do not to start sobbing. Â Another one I need to put on a loop to replay constantly!
