Over the weekend, Eric and I participated in some shopping therapy.  We’ve had inadequate seating in our living room (barely seating for 4 and there are 6 just in our family!) and a local discount store had a big sale.  Now we can easily seat 6 – 7 adults in our living room! 🙂

New couch – with my old afghan to keep it a bit ‘safe’. A lovely neutral color!

Eric’s new command chair – oh and that ottoman in the right hand corner is a wonderful way to hide my yarn!

Once upon a time there was a Grandmother who took the youngest two royal children shopping with her to a distant store.  Their Daddy was busy with Kingdom stuff and their Mommy was grieving the actions of the oldest prince.

While in the distant store, the young prince and princess spied GOLDEN FISH for only 10 cents!! They were astounded! They were amazed and they decided this would be a wonderful treat!  The Grandmother agreed and bought not one….not two…not even three, but FOUR GOLDEN FISH for the two young children.

When they returned home to the castle their sad Mommy was astounded and amazed as well…but not necessarily in a good way!  😉  But the young prince and princess were smiling and she realized that their smiles were nice to see again!

So, Sharkey, Beauty, Frank and Bob (who are brothers I’m told) were added to the Osborn Family and everyone lived happily ever after!

They could try to look a little contrite, don’t you think? 😉

Today I’m conflicted.

I miss my son so much … and I dread his homecoming.

I am confident he’s getting good care … and I’m scared of what else he’s being exposed to.

I am relieved when I hear of his possible new diagnosis … and also grieved.

I am alternately in tears … and relieved at the level of peace in our home.

(try it again if you get access denied)  Thanks to my coworker Liz for this uplifting videos!

Lyrics (from http://www.worshiptogether.com/songs/songdetail.aspx?iid=1846861)

Verse 1
Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we’ve come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us
Verse 2
Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Is Your power in us
Pre-Chorus
Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say
Chorus 1
Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Chorus 2
Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Bridge
Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Carried by Your constant grace
Held within Your perfect peace
Never once, no, we never walk alone
Ending Chorus
Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Every step we are breathing in Your grace
Evermore we’ll be breathing out Your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
