I was reading a friend’s blog the other day and she mentioned that her two-year old didn’t need her nap anymore.  Sissy is 3.5 years old but still takes a 1.5-3.5 hour nap.  I love it but wondered if it was more about what I needed, than she did. Also, it means we are home every afternoon – we miss our Homeschool Park day unless I can get one of the Grandma’s to babysit.

So yesterday while our schedule was thrown off, I skipped her nap.  But while I was doing something in the afternoon she got very whiny for her Paci – I realized I may have made a mistake. I asked a brother to get her blankie and Paci and put on her Little Bear show, thinking that some rest time might be good.  Not 5 minutes later the boys told me she was out!  She was so tired she slept through the dogs barking at the cable man, numerous phone calls and even Daddy’s return home.

So, today, we are back to our normal nap schedule today!

Project 365 – Day 48, 317 to go!

One of my boys woke up sick today – so rather than homeschool, I ended up getting all my errands done – including a haircut which I’m loving! But now I’m behind on work – so I had no time to take a new picture. Fortunately I hadn’t shared this one here!

This was the apple pie that I made Hubs for Valentines day. 🙂

Project 365 – Day 47, 318 to go!

This year I tried to make sure I got Valentines for the family – there are many years I’ve just let the day get away from me as I can get pretty depressed this time of year.  But not this year! I found “Decision Points” President Bush’s memoir for Eric.  And,I made goody bags for the kids – the boys got coupons, Sweettarts and a Ring Pop.

Sissy got some princess socks, a new toothbrush (we are always losing hers – I bought extra this time!) and some stickers!

And, Grammy came over last night and got some Goodies too but she also got her brithday present.  About a year or two ago a friend traded me this hand woven shawl for some curriculum. I tucked it away for Momma and then FORGOT IT! Doesn’t it look great on her?!

And this was my present from Hubs!  They are very lovely! I can’t wait to plant them in the front yard!

I’ll post the rest of the pictures on Facebook! 🙂

Project 365 – Day 45, 320 to go!

It seems every time my little one spends time with Grammy, I get a valentines!!  :D  What a nice treat!  Here’s what I got today after Sissy accompanied Grammy on her errands while I took big brothers to an appt:
