While helping Sissy dress, I asked her to point her toes. She didn’t and I assumed she was being contrary. But after the pants were on, she instantly pointed at her toes. “There they are Momma!” lol
That’s how I’m getting through my day….just taking the next step. I’m not sure if I will make it to the half marathon next May or not, but I do know that I’ll make the next step. On that note, I’m moving from the walk/run group to a walking group – if I can find one. :( I will miss my group but I am afraid I’m slowing them down.
I updated my “Getting Healthy” tab on this blog. Not so much to track weight – I’m not going to look at that – but to help me stay accountable to taking that next step.
Poor Eric seems to have his first head cold of the year. 🙁 I dread them every year, but they are faithful to show up. If you have a minute, please say a prayer for him. It affects our whole family when he’s not feeling well.
Well, I’d better not sit here anymore or I’ll get stiff! Hope you all are having a great Saturday!!

Today, my niece C1 and Grammy came for a visit and Pumpkin Lattes! Here was a little video we created because we thought the way Sissy said “Yatte” instead of Latte was too cute!
Was it because I got in an accident in his car? Nope, never been in an accident!
Was it because I moved his mirrors? Nope, after 23 years he’s probably used to that.
Was it because I moved his seat? Nope, 23 years – he’s finally realized I’m shorter than him!
Was it because I changed his radio station? Nope, he’ll probably think the kids did that one! 😉
Was it because I ate his mints? Nope….kids sure are handy some days! 😉
The real reason he might not loan me his car is because I removed his Star Trek Enterprise ornament hanging from his rear view mirror and forgot to rehang it! Darn!!
Officially, TLAPD was yesterday. But Eric’s classroom really looks forward to this day, so they are celebrating today. J3 (9) who is a student in Daddy’s class, dressed up – but wasn’t convinced the shirt was right. “Is this a blouse?” lol
(click to make bigger) Sadly Eric’s hat was still at school and he didn’t want to wear his super-cool pirate coat 🙁
Today they talk funny, have treats, hide treasure, ransom the 3rd grade teacher and eventually attack the 3rd graders! A great time is had by all! ;-) Eric really knows how to make learning fun!
