Ok. I’m officially mad.

WordPress is a great program. I love it. It has made my life soooo much easier when it comes to blogging on my own website.

Until now.

I upgraded two days ago and it is a mess. I don’t like it. I can’t do what I want to do. And, I’m mad.

I’ve got things to share….really, I do. But I need my blog back to normal before I can take time to really write! I hope I can figure it out soon!

I relistened to an interview I did with for the GSPN community in Nov 2007.  It’s neat to hear how far we’ve come….how much our life has changed!

GSPN is a community of folks who enjoy a bunch of podcasts.  I specifically enjoy their Lost podcast. :)  So, you’ll hear a lot about Lost in this interview, but you will also hear about our life. 🙂

Ok….not really.  But I’ve had a few high and lows as a parent lately.

A low from yesterday shared on Twitter

Knitnmom Ever wonder how much liquid a mattress can hold? Well, I can tell you at least 2 quarts of Iced Tea. (sigh)

A high from today

J3 and Sissy are “fixing” my hair (already a big plus!) and J3 says “Mom, you have the prettiest sparkles in your hair.  How did you do it?”  I told him God gave them to me.  He tells me they glow in the light and I’m lucky!  lol  Guess it’s just a matter of perspective.

One thing you might not know about my husband, he is a good singer.

And, he enjoys singing.

Sadly he hasn’t had an opportunity to sing regularly – except for church – for a long time.  A few months ago I started to pray that he would find an opportunity with some other men to sing again.

Last night another family came over for root beer floats — though the mommies ended up with chocolate ice cream with fresh strawberries – yeah for mommies! ;-)  Mike brought his guitar and after some great food and fellowship, he pulled it out.  He is amazing!  Not only did he play just a small bit of some of his original work, but just by hearing Eric sing a song – a song he’d never heard before – he could play it!  And play it beautifully.

They did a couple of songs and planned to get together and do it again.  They are even talking about performing togehter.  The very thought of doing anything in public terrifies me – but Eric tells me that sharing the music adds so much more to the experience.

I found some songbooks that Eric had created a few years ago of Victorian Christmas songs.  I think they are going to work on some of these lesser-known songs to share with others next Christmas.

I’m pretty jazzed about the possibilities this new friendship holds for Eric!

For those of you who blog….do you hate trying to come up with blog post titles?  It’s the HARDEST thing for me!  So, there is an original, catchy one – don’t you think?! lol  (hmm just occured to me – wonder what my hits will look like after writing a post with pot in the title! lol)

Last night I went to The Melting Pot in Sacramento with my Sister-in-laws – Anne and Susan – to celebrate Susan’s birthday.  I didn’t bring my camera but took a couple of crappy pics with my cell phone.

YUMMY!

YUMMY!

Thank you Susan for sharing your birthday with us – I hope the three of us can do it again sometime!

This morning I woke up late (yeah!!) but soon we started our chores. Hubs cleaned out my van – yeah!! – and even vacuumed it. Somebody must have been listening when I said my love language is acts of service! 😉

I worked inside.  Mainly I cleaned one of the kids rooms.  I didn’t get before shots, but I did snap a few so I will have a reminder that it CAN be this clean! lol

I also went through all of Sissy’s clothes and packed up anything too small for our friend, Miss E.  I also packed up most of the cold weather clothes – so I apologize now for the cold spell we are probably going to have now! lol

Sissy is down for a nap now….the boys and Hubs are in Dixon helping with the Food-A-Thon…and I’m doing laundry and planning to knit on the pink bag for awhile.  Tonight friends are coming over for Rootbeer floats in the backyard!  I am loving that patio!
