We had a few people let us know that both Eric and I needed to be at last night’s Awanas award night for J2.  I knew how hard J2 had worked on his Awanas verses, but I knew he had fallen way short of many of his peers.  And, this being our first year of Awanas, I had no idea what type of awards they even gave out.

He had won “Clubber of the Year” for the boys – which is awarded for “overall attitude, attendance, participation, preparedness and effort”! 🙂

Here he is with his trophy!

So proud of him!  He tries so hard and it’s so neat to see that others notice too!

My two oldest have started kickboxing.  Our friend’s Cindy & Dana Morrissey opened “Morrissey Elite Training Center” last week (Grand opening is in May) and the two oldest are enjoying it.  J1 has the agility and J2 has the strength.

When they get home and I ask them how it went J2 always says, “Great, I’m sweaty!” lol

J3, who is not quite old enough to start yet, keeps calling it “Kidboxing“.  As in, “Are the boys going Kidboxing today?” LOL

Kids are so fun!

Our deductible is $500.  Even though we have that money in savings, I was thinking that we might get away with paying less if the bill was under $500 to fix the repairs on our van.

Eric just got an estimate from our local body shop.

::gulp::

The estimate is close to $2000.

Oh my.

Upside: we will only be paying $500 of it.
