I’m doing a lot of this – I’ve gotten behind on my Kay Arthur study and can not seem to catch up! I need a loooong weekend.

J1’s Creation with Magnetix – it rotates with a simple twist of your wrist. VERY cool!
Last night, after baths, J3 was reading me his homework books. J2 sat down and picked up a book on the couch and said “Hey I can read this!” He read about 80% of the book out loud to his brother and I.
I can’t tell you how big this is!
1) He looked at the words in a book with out being TOLD to do it
2) He realized that he could read them
3) He determined to sit down and read
4) He persevered even when he ran into harder words.
Sadly, even amidst my complete JOY at this milestone — I find myself wishing the book was anything other than a beginner book. But I need to compare him ONLY to him. Not to his brothers, his cousins, other kids his age in cub scouts or at church. I need to remember where we’ve been and hold onto the fact that slow progress is still progress!
…who likes to say, “Hey Mom. I was wondering…no, you’ll say no.”
I’m so twisted I have started to reply “Yes, I’m sure you are right” and then I walk away! LOL I’m so evil!!
Been sick…feeling better…playing catch up!
Kieran Jack was born at 2:12 at 8 lbs and 20 1/2″ long. His big sister was thrilled to see Momma and took short notice of the baby and then had other places to go and people to see! lol Guess it’s not a big deal to her.
My brother is sending me a photo in my phone later today – but I have no idea how to get it from my phone to anywhere else. 🙁 So you all will have to wait until I get to see him in person! 🙂
