I finished another lesson. This one taught me how to create a page from a template! That will make scrapbooking much easier!
My Hubs is very generous with me! One of the things he got me for Christmas was digiscrap lessons @ JessicaSprague.com (check it out – she’s having some great sales)!
And, a gift to myself is to actually scrapbook each week. Â Since I started my new responsibilities at work, I’ve just been blindsided. Â But I’m starting to realize, the work will always be there. Â There will always be someone who needs me and my time. Â But I need to be renewing myself or I will burn out! Â I have had a standing appointment with myself every Saturday morning to scrapbook – and I’m really going to do my best to keep it!
I started my first class this week and here is my results for lesson 2
Right now I’m just following the lesson – not real creativity but I’m learning so much! Â Can’t wait to make some pages of my own based on what I’m learning!
I am loving this class! Â If you want to learn PhotoShop or PhotoShop Elements, Jessica Sprague’s free class “The Photoshop Top 5” is a great start!
Here are my results from Lesson 3, I used some of her tools and images, and some of my own.
Task 1 – Adding Textures:
Task 2 – Clipping Mask
I finally broke down and bought Adobe Photoshop Elements. Â I have been wanting it for a looong time and it was on sale, the money was in the account…and it was done! But now I’m trying to learn how to use it!
Today I did a free lesson from JessicaSprague.com on photo editing and here are my results:
The original snapshot
cropping and color adjustment
turning the photo black and white
I’m doing the Project365 and also making a scrapbook page for each month. I use the StoryBook Creator Plus 3.0 program from Creative Memories and I love it. But I found making these Project365 pages pretty hard. Then Bobcatshaven posted a template which I could use – and I created January’s page (you can see that here).
But today, the CM Project Center blog posted a tutorial and I realized the software I’m using already makes it VERY easy to do calendars. I’m hoping to use this tutorial for February’s layout. Saving the link here to help me remember!
