It appears that the Lord has heard my prayers (and the few friends with
whom I’ve shared this request). My husband has decided we are going to
home school our oldest son again!

Please, please, please pray for us. He is not an “easy” child….and
yet he’s a joy. I’m thrilled…and terrified. I’m sure someone out
there can relate!

So, in the midst of Everything Else going on in our life….we can add
this! I covet your prayers for my patience, strength and ability to
show him God’s love!

1) No news on Princess. Supposedly our paperwork is in route from Oregon to California – or maybe it’s already arrived. I have to just wait to be contacted. I don’t want to wait. But I also don’t want to be an irritant. If I have not heard from anyone by next week – I’ll be all kinds of irritating! 😉 So, there is little I can say on this topic.

2) For those of you who know me in real life, you know of the constant struggle we have with one of our children regarding his heart attitude. For the last two years or so, I’ve believed that being allowed to homeschool him again would help. I’ve committed it to prayer and asked some friends to pray too. Last night was the first glimmer that maybe I’m not the only parent 😉 who believes homeschooling might be a good idea. Sadly, only more ‘bad news’ precipitated this glimmer. Not what I wanted. No definite answer yet….so, there is little I can say on this topic.

Everything else in my life is sort of ‘meh’ stacked up to those two things…they are my main focus of prayer and thoughts right now. So, unless I find more fun videos to share (I’ve got one in reserve for you all) or something interesting happens on either topic above…I’ll still have so much to say, but so little I can say.

Today was a Big Day for J2!

I created this challenge for him 2 weeks ago. And for two weeks I’ve encouraged him and challenged him, hugged him, prodded him, nagged him …. but mainly I’ve encouraged him.

So, what is his first reaction to meeting the challenge? “I TOLD YOU I COULD DO IT!

EXCUSE ME?!?! No, you did not! On the average you said “I can’t” “I won’t” “I’ll never”

I was the one who said you could do it!!!

Grumble, grumble….

Well, at least I get ice cream too! 😉

I get so excited about the little things in life working out!  I’ve been praying and praying about this issue and it’s all worked out soooo much better than I could imagine!!

Eric teaches in Dixon – which is about 20 min away – and J1 and J3 attend school there.  Well, on Fridays they have Chapel from 9-10am.  I really wanted to find a way that J2 and I could start attending Chapel weekly.  And, I knew that I would need to travel to Dixon one day a week anyway for J3’s speech therapy (I have to transport him to an elementary school to get the services).   And, I also wanted to get J2 into some sort of class – gymnastics being the top choice.

Well, I just got off the phone with our new speech therapist and it’s all working out!!  PTL!!

I will take J3 to speech from 8:20-8:50 am – then head to Chapel from 9-10am.  Then J3 and I will head to Gymnastics in Davis from 10:30-11:30!  It could NOT be more perfect!!  I’m sooo tickled!  Only one day of running around!! YEAH!!!!!
