That would be my brain short-circuiting!  Moving is NO fun!  And, in case I ever start to think I want to do this again – I give you all permission to come here and give me a good ‘talking to’!

So, what’s new?  Well, what isn’t!  My mind is so random right now I’d better use bullets, because a full sentence might put me right over the edge! 😉

  • The Doggie situation.  Well, we have a dog…but we’ve yet to meet her! lol  The night we went to the fair, I walked up just in time to hear Eric tell the youth pastor and his wife that we’d take the 7 yr old Beagle.  Well, at least this way I can say it wasn’t MY decision! lol  I think we’ll meet her and bring her home in a few weeks.  I hope they aren’t in a hurry!  Bless them – they are giving us a dog house too!!
  • The house – is beautiful!  Eric is just a wild man when it comes to moving!  Pictures are hung and things are really coming together!  We still have a mile-long list of things we need to do but we are getting there!
  • Today an adoption caseworker is coming to start our homestudy.  Sadly we can not just update our old one.  :(  She has 60 days to complete the process. sigh
  • Knitting – yes, I’m still knitting.  Not that I have any idea where my yarn stash is, of course!  But I had three projects on the needles so I had them handy.  Socks for someone special, Jayne Hats for my Brother and SIL (and kids?? we’ll see) and a sweater for me.

I’d better go wake JGirl so she can meet the caseworker!

I have a great group of IRL (In Real Life) friends.  For a looong time I couldn’t say this as the majority (not all!) of my friends were online only.  When I started a local knitting group 3 or 4 years ago I never thought I would be finding truly good friends…but I have!

Not only am I blessed to meet with them all one or two times a week – but a few of us have started quilting together too!  We go to Cloth Carousel in Winters, CA on the first Saturday of every month and get our new square for the month.  Yes, it takes a whole year to get a quilt’s worth of squares, but even that might be too fast for me! LOL

This month I didn’t get my quilt square done – it was a whirlwind of too much to do and well, I really don’t want to review it all.  I was mad, disappointed and hurt that no one seemed to value what I wanted to do – but let’s not go there!

My friend, Trina, showed up in the middle of a pity party I was holding for myself Saturday afternoon – not only had she picked up the new square for me – but she brought me a sewing machine for me to borrow (the machine was part of the problem this month).  It was SUCH a blessing and I did my best not to cry!

Yesterday, during JGirl’s nap I finished May’s square and cut out June’s.  This morning I was up at 6am so I finished it!  :D  Here they are:

I feel so blessed!!

It’s been well over a month since I’ve posted here!  Pardon the dust bunnies!!  However, in the midst of everything I’ve been knitting – really I have!!

Here is my proof:

The bunny is stuffed and just needs a face.  I’d skip it, but faceless dolls really bother a couple of my kids.  So, I have the thread and just need to do it!

I also started on for my little friend, Miss E.  My goal is to have both of them done by Easter.

Thursday night – during Lost – I started this skirt for JGirl.  I think it took me about 5 hours all together.  I still need to make a crochet chain from the accent yarn to use a tie.  Details can be found on my Ravelry page (Knitnmom).

I also have the yarn to make a Jayne hat for my brother’s graduation gift! 🙂

Due to JGirl’s upcoming arrival I’ve put Secret of the Stole ii into hibernation.  And, I have some simple socks I’m working on – should be a nice purse project!
