January update

Our daytime knit group is going well!Â It certainly makes the week go quicker!Â I love waking up on Tuesday morning and knowing that it’s Knit Night and then Wednesday morning we get to do it again!

I finished Baby Susannah’s Dress….I need to ship it to Tennessee still.Â Have I already said that? Well, this week!Â I promise.

I’m still working on my boxers.Â It’s the perfect mindless knitting! 🙂

And, I started some socks for my mom – her birthday is at the end of this month.

Did you all hear that KnitPicks has longer circular needles now?Â I will be ordering some for Magic Loop very soon!Â Yeah!!!

While I did join Secret of the Stole 2 – I’ve decided I’m not going to knit along.Â I want to make sure it will be a pattern I’ll be happy with when completed.Â Too much work to find out you don’t like it.Â I guess I’m too practical to enjoy the mystery part of it!

Truly, not much is going on in my knitting life.Â But I’m thankful for the steadiness of it!Â Knitting has gotten me through some rough patches of my life and continues too!

Tuesday

I’m feeling very random today. So, here are some thoughts in no particular order….

Had a great time visiting my brother and family on Sunday. He just graduated – with honors – from Simpson University. We missed the graduation party due to the Pinewood Derby but they graciously welcomed us anyway! Christy made the same “Beef Stew for 50” that I made for J1’s party – and it was soooo good. I have GOT to figure out a way to make it in smaller batches so I can fix it in my smaller pots at home.
While at my brother’s we watched the last 3 episodes of Lost Season 3. So now they are all caught up and we can talk about it!! Yeah!!
My sister started posting again. Of course, she’s going to school too and the new session started so now she’s incredibly busy – so that might be it! But we’ll take what we can get. lol
Thanks to SlickDeals.net (thanks Trina!!) I’ve found a couple of great deals for getting photos developed online. Now I need to find time to scrapbook.
Yes, I’m scrapbooking digitally but also physically (can’t think of a better way to describe it! LOL) I have waaaay too much invested to quit! I’m going to try and scrapbook at least once a month. Anyone want to join me?!? There’s room for 2 or 3 more people in my dining room!
Emailed the caseworker on Friday for more info – no response yet. It’s bumming me out.
Eric said that J3’s teacher wants a conference. I’m worried.
I started socks for my mom’s birthday at the end of the month. They are so pretty! They’ll look great with a pair of jeans!
School went great yesterday!! Thank to any and all who have been praying!!

First DAY Knit

I’ve been getting together in the evenings with some friends to knit for about 3 years. We used to meet at a local book store, but now we meet at the library. Today was our first DAY knit meeting. We met at my house and had a great turn out! Steph had a very rare day off and joined us. Trina (w A & E), Ruth & Margaret will hopefully be regulars.
