Please note I’m not going to use the Project 365 post title anymore…but I’m continuing with the Project 365 :).  Here is todays! 🙂

I’m participating in a dishcloth swap via Ravelry – today’s dishcloths came from Australia! 🙂

Project 365 – day 13, 352 to go!

Yesterday, my Uncle Steve came over to share some of his love of cooking.  He and his wife, Ellen, loved to spend their weekends planning, preparing and enjoying good food together.  Since she passed away before Christmas, Uncle Steve has referred to his cooking as therapy.  :)  I do that too – my knitting is the first thing I reach for when life gets hard!

My sister, Beth & I asked Uncle Steve if he was willing to share his love of cooking with us.  We are the first to admit that cooking is more than a chore than something we enjoy!  So, yesterday Uncle Steve and I made Risotto.  “Poor” Beth is on a week-long kid-free vacation with her Hubby!

Risotto is (as defined by Wikipedia)

a class of Italian dishes of rice cooked in broth to a creamy consistency. The broth may be meat-based, fish-based, or vegetable-based; many kinds include parmesan cheese, butter, and onion

It was wonderful! Here are the pictures of our day! 🙂
