When we paid off the credit card, we turned part of the accrued points into an Amazon.com gift card for me to use for the household.  Most of our small appliances are thrift store finds – why put out the full $$ if you aren’t sure how it’s going to work for your family.

I loved my rice cooker, but it was simply too small for our family.  Plus it didn’t come with the unique measuring cup – which made for a bit of a bummer but thanks to the internet, not a huge issue!

Anyway, meet our new rice cooker/steamer!  Now to find a reason to make rice! 😉

Project 365 – Day 90, 275 to go!

We hung out with my brother and his family this weekend –I took a few snapshots as the big folks tried to talk and the little kids got more and more ‘hyped’ about being together!

Notice how the dads do the child corraling! lol

Uncle Eric tries to keep Little K happy – it worked!!

If you happen to fall asleep on a child, it really slows them down! 😉

When all else fails – employ the full body hug! 😉

Project 365 – Day 87, 278 to go!

We haven’t taken the kids to a real sit-down restaurant in awhile I guess.  Thursday night the Chevy’s restaurant in Dixon had a benefit for Eric’s school Neighborhood Christian school so we braved the weather and had a great meal!  Well, Eric, Sissy and I did – but the boys all wanted cheeseburgers – at a Mexican restaurant! lol

Eric’s Dinner:

Mine (Yum!)

Daddy & Sissy enjoying their dessert – teaching her to do the wedding toast!
