I made it to Knit Night! Yeah! It has been 4 or 5 weeks I think! Crazy!  And my friend Ruth had the WHOLE series of that Dee Henderson series which I SO enjoyed! Wish I could make the font bigger like I do on my Kindle! Lol wonder if Hubs has any reading glasses handy!

I’m also thankful for my dad who is celebrating his birthday today! I hope you enjoyed your licorice this year, Dad!

Today I am thankful for the teachers my two youngest children have at school.  I am still not 100% sure we are doing the right thing, but I am very convinced I needed to just focus on J2 this year.  I am thankful for the man who teaches J3, he’s encouraging and firm.  That seems to be a good combination for a sixth grade teacher and he has done a lot for J3’s self confidence.  Sissy’s teacher is patient and quiet, a good model for Sissy.  She is often overwhelmed by all the other children, but her teacher remains a calm presence in the chaos.

Sorry, a day late!  But I’m thankful for thrift stores! I love them! I love second hand books!

Yesterday I found a cookbook especially made for food processors.  Yes, I know it’s just a tool, but I am the type of person who likes details. This cookbook looks like a great tool!  What should I learn to make first?  Hummus or Pesto?

I also found a knitting book of patterns! WOOT!  It’s called “Traditional Knitting Patterns from Scandinavia, the British Isles, France, Italy and other European Countries” by James Norbury.  It’s all in black and white, but that really helps you see the textures! I’m planning to try out some of these patterns in dishcloths.
