Today, while the littlest napped and the big boys played the xbox, I ignored the call of my knitting and the emails from work (sorry guys – I already put in enough hours today – I’ll be back tonight!) and reworked our local homeschool group’s webpage.  Check it out and please tell me what you think:

Woodland Area Christian Home Eductors (WACHE)

We really have two sites – this public one and a Yahoogroup site for our members.  In a couple of weeks, I’ll be getting together with some other homeschoolers to work on both of our sites, but first I wanted to migrate us from an HTML/CSS site to a WordPress site.  Doing that allows for more people to update the site as needed.

Anyway, that’s how I spent my afternoon! It felt good to make some progress on this project that has been hanging over my head for so long!

Last night I was excited to head out with Ruth & Margaret to attend a sweater design class taught by the wonderful Becca, formerly of Knitter’s Playground.  I had planned to get photos but got so carried away that I forgot to pull my camera out! But next time, I’ll remember!

We are doing top-down raglan sweaters.  I’ve opted for a v-neck cardigan.  Trying to keep it simple but, to be honest, it’s hard because I’m so excited!  Not only will I get to express myself, but no longer will I be stuck with making do with the pattern as written because I don’t know enough about how you knit it to be able to change it!!

I’d take a picture of what I’ve knit so far but I’ve spent most of the morning pulling out what I did last night and creating a spreadsheet to help me keep track of where I am!  Yes, I’m truly a Knitting Geek – I love knitting spreadsheets!  Now that the spreadsheet is done and I’ve written out my directions – I can get started!  Woo hoo!!
