Am I the only one who struggles like this? So many of my friends – online and offline – seem to just keep all those plates going. Or am I the only one to whine about it?

Nope. Other people are just better at faking it. That and I don’t have kids (like I am one that keeps it together, ha!).
Besides, Mat is the one who hears all my whining. I try to keep it contained to him. LOL. Poor Mat!
I hope you feel on top of things again soon. If you want a tip, try doing ONE thing for 15 minutes (working on the living room, laundry, etc). Do that for 45 minutes (so 3 different areas) and then take a 15 minute break and have fun.
Or, teach your hubby and kids to play “clean the house cribbage” (or some other game – play one hand then go clean something). Or, another favorite, is kick everyone else out of the house so you can work!
Like I said, I hope you found a rhythm you are comfortable with soon.

My plates crash down around my feet so very often. Then I struggle with discouragement and feelings of inadequacy. When I am feeling overwhelmed I tend to withdraw so people usually don’t hear about it when I’m struggling the most but, boy, am I whining inwardly. If there is anyone who really keeps all the plates spinning perfectly all the time I would be very surprised. Well, I better get back to sweeping up the broken plates. 😉

Ooooh, clean the house cribbage sounds fun! I just have to learn how to play cribbage 😉
To answer your other questions, you definitely know I’m not one to keep my complaining to myself. That’s the nice thing about friends and blogs. Our blogs are a good way to let our friends know what’s up and a good way for us to let our friends know we’re there for them, and vice versa. 🙂 We’re there for you! Hang in there! Thinking moving and lack of sleep are two things that could stress you out plenty one at a time, and you have both at the same time. Go easy on yourself and just do the minimum to get by each day, until you feel up to doing more and more, and before you know it you’ll be back to normal. 🙂
Cut yourself some slack girl!!! You are in the midst of one of the most stressful times in your life – buying a house, adjusting your household, packing, homeschooling, being mom, wife, employee and supposed to still walk around with a smile?!?!?! You are so normal!!! You just have this wonderful way of being able to let it out and receive encouragement at the same time!! I envy that in you. So, try not to stress, it will all get done. We can pack as we move (which sometimes is better because you are more brutal about things to keep and things to downsize). I can come down on a mon/tues the next couple of weeks and help out if you want? I love you! Call anytime!
