Priorities

Realizing that I can actually FINISH a project makes me realize that I actually NEED to finish some things….thus, here is my list of WIP and their priority list.

First, since the February Flower Exchange actually says FEBRUARY, then I need to get them done and mailed THIS MONTH! I have one done with the exception of the pin part and I want to do at least one more. Not necessary, but I’d like to give my giftee at least one more option in case she doesn’t like the first one. So, I’m not sure if I’ll buy some differnt yarn (I need to build up my stash anyway, right?!? LOL) or look for a pattern with crochet thread – it might look more interesting. Have to run errands this am…so I’ll let you know what I decided later today.

Then I need to finish my THING (see sidebar for link). I’m ashamed that I started like gangbushters and then have neglected it for so long! 🙁 Violet, what about you? Still working on it? Done? I’m not sure if working on the THING has given me the confidence to try other FUNNER things and now I feel like I don’t need to finish it or what? But that’s foolish because there are some NEAT things yet to come that I really want to learn. I wish I hadn’t chosen such cheap acrylic though – it feels so icky! 🙁 But it is my priority as soon as my February Flowers are done!

And, I’ve joined the First Sock Knitters KAL and am excited to learn this. I’ve cast on twice already…but now that my SP sent me some bamboo dpns, I’m going to pull out all three rows I’ve completed and start over. However, I’m going to stick with the creamy wool I’m using and save the Magic Stripes yarn for my second (better? less mistakes? LOL) pair! I can’t wait though!! 🙂

And, that leaves my Purple shawl – which I’m loving!! But I’m really a circular knitting girl…and I didn’t have size 11 in a circ…so I ordered them last night and it will be a week or so before they arrive. If I’ve gotten my THING done by then I’ll let myself knit it again (it’s a great carryalong project as it is just a garter stitch with a yarnover at the beginning of each row!).

Disciple! I need to be disciplined and then I’ll actually finish more projects! Any takers on how long I’ll last before I start something new or totally disregard my priorities!?!? LOL
