Starting tomorrow we’ll be having a big change in our homeschool. Dad is taking on J1’s daily homeschool as he’s having trouble submitting to my authority.  In order to do that, he will be going to school with Dad each day and work in his classroom.  This was a suggestion by Eric’s principal to help us with this problem.  I’m not happy about this – but I’m not fighting it anymore as I’m just tired of running into that brick wall again and again and again.

Please pray for all of us as we proceed forward.

7 Thoughts on “Changes

  1. WOW! That is a big change. Praying that all the details work out smoothly & this is a positive transition for your entire family. Love you Amy!

  2. P.S. Can you tell me about the OTC medicine Eric got you? Did it work?

  3. Wow, I am surprised the principal thought of that idea. Seems it may be distracting to have someone in the class that is not “in” the class. I hope it works out well or that ds has a change of heart about his recent behavior towards you. Never easy, but really great you have a dh that is stepping up to help.

  4. Sounds like a really understanding principle! … I hope it all works out OK… I wonder what it will be like homeschooling Jared, when he gets to be J1’s age… (There is NO WAY Joe could take over. He can barely do Jared’s 5th grade work!)

  5. I’m sorry it’s happening this way, Amy. I’m surprised the principal would think of this, either. Praying that it works out! I had problems with one of the kids especially with homeschooling….I wish Ed would have taken over but he didn’t suggest it. Maybe J1 will realize what he was doing and his heart will change and you’ll be able to teach him again!
    Sending hugs your way, too!

  6. Praying for you Amy. I’m just so happy that you even HAVE that option. Some kids just seem to really push those buttons.

  7. Amy, what a blessing to have this option. It might be just what you need to bring peace to the household and enable you to enjoy being mom to him without the frustration of the day to day trying to teach him.

Ryan and I get along MUCH better since he started school 3 hours per day.
