I hate reality.
Reality is where I have to face the facts that I can’t possible keep it all together…keep it all running…make everyone happy. As much as I try, I can’t.
It’s not a matter of allowing Christ to work through me (Phil 4:13) – it’s the fact that ONE person can’t do it all.
I am going to work to accept that it is not my fault.
I am going to work to accept that everything is not, and will not be, perfect.
I am not going to give up on you and your needs, but I might not be the person to meet them for you.
I am not going to feel guilty about that.
Yep, reality is like a taking a sucker punch sometimes. You are right that you cannot meet everyones’ needs all the time and trying will crush you. Taking deep breaths and praying is about all that works for me. Nothing is ever perfect, even people that appear to have it all together don’t. We all have our burdens and shortcomings. I’m sending you big cyber hugs!
