I finally found the stocking pattern from my Grandma.  She made stockings for all the family members over the years.  One of the last stockings she made was for my sister’s oldest son and you can tell she was not her normal excellent knitter.  At some point before she died, she sent me copies of her pattern.  When she died, I tried to find her original pattern, but failed.  I was so excited to find that copy – but then I misplaced it again.  But I have it now!!

So, now to learn how to do it – I’m a bit nervous but excited too!  I’ll keep you updated! 🙂

  1. Glad you found it honey – though I liked YOUR stockings better – they had more to look at and were quite a bit bigger! But your grandma’s pattern will probably be easier for you to do. So that is good!
    Love ya!

Glad you found it! You better scan it and/or make several copies and maybe give one to your Mom or sister in case it gets lost again! :o)

  3. Don’t you just love old family traditions passed down?

Please consider participating in my “Mom and Me and a Recipe” project, if you have time over the next couple weeks!

  4. YEAH!!! I’m so glad you found it!! I will get our socks out and bring them down to you on Thursday or will have them out for you on Saturday.

  5. I’m glad you found it!!!

Joe’s mom knits stockings for everyone too. They are wonderful, and we all love them!… Personally, I can’t knit, but I can enjoy what others do! 😆
