I was reading a friend’s blog the other day and she mentioned that her two-year old didn’t need her nap anymore. Sissy is 3.5 years old but still takes a 1.5-3.5 hour nap. I love it but wondered if it was more about what I needed, than she did. Also, it means we are home every afternoon – we miss our Homeschool Park day unless I can get one of the Grandma’s to babysit.
So yesterday while our schedule was thrown off, I skipped her nap. But while I was doing something in the afternoon she got very whiny for her Paci – I realized I may have made a mistake. I asked a brother to get her blankie and Paci and put on her Little Bear show, thinking that some rest time might be good. Not 5 minutes later the boys told me she was out! She was so tired she slept through the dogs barking at the cable man, numerous phone calls and even Daddy’s return home.
So, today, we are back to our normal nap schedule today!
Project 365 – Day 48, 317 to go!

Amy, my first 2 took naps clear through Kindergarten. They went to k-garten in the morning and then came home and napped in the afternoon. I think that my 17 year old would still take naps if she were given the option in High School. She falls asleep in the car (hopefully not when driving) quite readily, too.
Awww! Poor sleepy little angel! … All kids are different. Just have to follow her lead. 🙂
