Remember yesterday?

Glad THAT is behind me! The laundry is done. The shopping is done. The Grammy is poised and ready to take over! The money – well, we’ll get that on the way out of town. In fact, I’m so calm now that I’m off to knit a few rows on my Clapotis Scarf before I pack!

Before I go…can you pray for my friend Cindy? She has been experiencing hearing loss in one ear for awhile. Finally checked it out and it is a tumor. Had it removed – well, 95% of it anyway – last Monday and is having complications now. She can not swallow. Is having lots of nausea. Very weak. And, yesterday they discovered blood clots in her legs. They can’t give her blood thinners due to the brain surgery so they inserted some sort of filter to keep the clots out of her heart. Does that sound right? Anyway, I trust the Lord to take care of her. She is the most upbeat positive person I know, but my mom (who’s been helping out at the hospital when her mom and hubby can’t be there) says she’s starting to get depressed. Oh my word – who wouldn’t! So, can you please pray for this young woman. I think she’s going to be in the hospital longer than expected now – that’s got to be hard on her and her family (hubby & teenage daughter).

I feel like a woman who has lost her mind! Normally I’m pretty calm – with the occasional flare up. But today I go from one thing to another thing and I’m barely getting ANYthing accomplished.

We are celebrating our 20th anniversary a few days early this weekend – heading to the coast to a Bed & Breakfast. Leaving the kids with Grandmas (it will be a team effort) but I, of course, need to grocery shop so said children can be fed by said Grandmas. I need to do laundry because this is NOT a clothing-optional Inn. I need to visit the bank – because I’ll probably want to spend money this weekend.

And, now, J2 is upset that he can’t throw a last minute sleep over in to the mix. I’m Mean. And, he’s not going anywhere if he can’t get his way (we need to go to Dixon for J3’s speech therapy in about 30 min). Unbeknowst to him – I can still carry him and I will carry him to the van and he WILL go with me! Right now I’m letting him chill out before I share this information with him.

Why is it that even trying to do something fun is no fun!?! Grrr

Hmm…wonder if Ft. Bragg has a yarn store??

I’ve recently become aware of this series / movie – and I’m addicted. I added the DVDs to my wishlist (did you read that Eric????) and can’t wait to get them!

Do you see that hole on the right side? I did something wrong didn’t i?! I followed the instructions – but I’m still thinking it’s wrong. I’ve tried to fix it a couple of times. Anyone able to help me??
