In my journey through grief I’ve learned the value of staying positive.  I know positive thinking has become a negative idea in some groups. But dwelling on the positive can help me change my perspective.  It’s like my Momma said “Fake it until you make it!” or like my God said “Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” (Phil 4:8b)

So, in order to get out of the muck and mire…I am working on a list.  I might share it here later, but to be honest, right now I’m struggling to think of anything beyond – “we are all well”.  Sometimes it’s really hard to see the silver lining in the middle of the storm.

Last night my sister-in-law, niece and nephew came for a visit (they are in town selling puppies – anyone want a Great Dane or Boxer?).  Also, our friends the Rowes came over with their 4 boys and brownies!! Yum!  After awhile we all gathered in the living room and played with the Karaoke machine Eric was given for Christmas.

My niece really enjoyed dancing and I was tickled to get a few videos of her grooving!  Hope you enjoy them too!

I’ve had a Palm PDA for several years.  I kept my calendar on it, read books and played Sudoku.  But I also had to carry my phone, my camera and my MP3 player.  So, last summer Hubs got me a Palm Centro that combines my Palm, my phone, my camera (even a video) and my MP3 player.  I was in love!

And, then – if you follow me on Twitter you know this – I dropped it in a HUGE cup of coffee on my desk.  And it was dead.  I tried everything I could find online to revive it, but nothing worked.

Long story short…I was able to replace my Palm Centro in February.  But then I received my bill.  Please note that I went back to my original phone – it wasn’t an upgrade or anything.  They had added a data plan onto my phone plan.  I called about it and they said that all Smartphones and PDAs were now required to carry a data plan.  I was able to negotiate a cheaper plan…but where I want to or not….I can now go online and check my personal email on my phone.

So, looking for the silver lining, I’m going to use it!  So, if you use your phone to go online, etc…..what in the world do you do?    Educate me!!
