J2 joined the sickie ranks and seems to be worse than any of them!
So, for those of you keeping score…I’m the only one still standing….though J1 is getting back to normal.
My good friend is bringing essentials – saltines, 7up, jello and spaghetti sauce for me.
My sister just IMed me – my dad is sick (spent Sunday with them). I feel so guilty!! :( But it’s pretty rare for them to NOT get sick when they visit us. We’re lucky they haven’t disowned us!!
It’s got Eric. He came home about 11am. :( That’s 4 out of 6 down.
First, prayers are going up for my brother – who’s in MN this week getting a bionic thumb! ok, not boinic, but I love the idea. This is (Lord willing) his last surgery after his horrible accident in 2005 which you can read about here, here, here, here and here. Ugh-just re-reading those posts are scary! Now they are trying to give him some mobility in his thumb again. But re-reading those posts….we were so worried about him losing his whole hand! God is good!
Second, I’m living in a house of plague. 3 of 4 kids are sick….one way or another. Am I upset? No. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want my kids sick and I’m tired of cleaning it up. But all I can think is “Thank you Lord that I don’t have a production team and endless strangers arriving tomorrow!!!“ Praising the Lord for lost paperwork!!
We aren’t sure what’s going to happen…but even though we faxed, emailed and hand delivered documents…Eric’s security check could not get done in the timeframe they were hoping to to tape our segment. So, they say they are still interested, but we don’t know when/if it will happen.
I am sort of relieved because the kids have been sick for the last 24 hours and I need to be able to focus on them and not worry about having the house presentable. Eric’s a bit bummed though.
One thing I’ve enjoyed about this experience – our friends are very cool. People have been accommmodating and flexible and didn’t think we were idiots to even consider this! :) Thanks y’all! I’ll let you know if/when we hear from them again!
