5 Hour Baby Sweater, w/Hood, started February 19th, 2007, finished February 27th, 2007 – 9 days!! Not 5 hours! LOL Actually I really don’t know how many hours it took me – maybe I’ll track that next time.
Pattern: Quickie (or “5-Hour”) Baby Sweater Pattern From FiberGypsy
Yarn: Lion Brand Woolease
Needles: Denise Size 10.5
Would I knit it again? Yep!

  • Mom’s Sweater – It’s being blocked at Mom’s house. I need to seam up the sleeves, body and then knit the neckline and front panels.
  • Socks – Annika’s socks are done – so I quickly cast on another pair. I’m doing Diamante from the Fall 06 Knitty Issue
  • 5 Hour Baby Sweater – started my third. Ditched the idea to make it bigger and instead created a hood.
  • Christmas Stockings – I’ve got four to do – I need to get going!!! Argh
  • Big Shrug – anxiously awaiting the kit! Can’t wait!!!

Music & Lyrics….and a sweater…part two

Well, mystery solved. I love this sweater because I’ve been wanting to knit it for almost as long as I’ve been knitting! I’m ordering it today…no more dillydallying! No more admiring it – putting it my shopping cart and then closing the window (ala Lime & Violet). I’m going to Just Do It!

Music & Lyrics….and a sweater

Last night we went out to dinner with another couple. And I talked everyone into going to see “Music & Lyrics” with Hugh Grant (not my favorite) and Drew Barrymore (def a favorite of mine).

And, while it was a very funny movie – I came away in LOVE with a sweater that Drew was wearing in part of the movie. I’ve been wanting a sweater like that for a couple of years so I totally noticed it!

I’ve been trying to figure out if anyone has the pattern online – but no luck yet. Check it out:

Finished Annika's Socks

Pattern: Toe-Up, Magic Loop, K1P1 then K2P2
Yarn:KnitPicks Parade (75% Superwash Wool, 25% Nylon) – Now discontinued 🙁
Needles: Addi Turbos 2
Pattern Notes: I wanted to do a toe-up sock but I’m really not happy with the heel. I had to do a short row and I just don’t like how they look! 🙁 Trying a new pattern this week and going to try toe-up with gusset heel. I really want to find my “Standard Sock” method! This was close, but not it!
Would I knit it again? Yes – but I don’t like the heel.
