I haven't added my voice to the recent conversations on diversity in the knitting community because I thought I'm not a person of influence. But today I learned there are some saying those who haven't spoke up agree that the conversation isn't necessary and, really, they are telling those sharing that their voices aren't important. I've learned so much in the past weeks. I've cried to hear some of the stories of discrimination. I have loved seeing the expressions of love and inclusion in words and actions. To be completely clear…I do not agree. I am so proud of our community for being brave, honest and open to learning how to be better. Words are hard, I hope you hear my heart.
