I’ve pretty much abanonded my knitting blog (Knit+Mom=Knitnmom). With the advent of Ravelry (YEAH!!), there just isn’t the need for a separate blog. FWIW, I still HIGHLY recommend WordPress for anyone who wants to start a blog.
So, I moved all my knitting posts, categories and my progress bars over here about a week ago. And, from time to time you will see what I’ve been knitting!
Right now, I’m knitting a sweater for me (sorry – I think you have to be in Ravelry to see that link). It’s knit side-to-side in a super soft gray – it reminds me of an old sweatshirt. I can’t WAIT for it to be done!
I’ve put Brett’s families Jayne hats in time out as the moths ate the yarn – boo hoo!
I have some camo yarn that I want to make the boys new hats but I realized I need to do a Christmas Stocking for JGirl. The last few years I’ve been knitting stockings for my newer nieces and nephews – keeping up the tradition my Grandma W started in our family. I’d done my own style but last year I found that someone had reprinted the patterns that my Grandma W based her stockings on. As Eric & I, J1 and J2 have stockings from Grandma W and J3 has a knit one with a train….we’d like hers to match ours more. So I’m going to start her stocking today but it’s a new pattern….written in the 1940s or 50s and it’s SUPER small print. I’m not feeling very hopeful.  I can always go back to the pattern I’ve been using but I’d be disappointed. I’ll keep you posted on my progress! Maybe even get some photos taken today!
Joe’s mom always knits Christmas stockings for everyone, and that was always one of the first things Joe asked his Mom about when we had the kids. *lol*
I love wordpress, but I use LJ because for some reason, they block wordpress, but not LJ. Go figure that one. And, in LJ, you can make some posts private.
