Ok – I joined my Hub’s gym last week in order to keep him company and to avoid a lecture! lol  But I’m really enjoying it.

And, now that I’ve lost a bit of weight and feel really, really good…I’m considering taking this to the next level.  Watching what I eat.  But how to proceed?  There are almost too many options.  And none of them take into account that there are more non-dieters in my home than dieters.  How do you do that??

I noticed that the gym was hanging posters for Weight Watchers on the walls today.  I’ve never done weight watchers.  Mainly because I can barely get out of the house for the gym…how can I add another thing??  But I did it online once upon a time…I just can’t remember if it worked for me or not.  Stupid memory!!

Anyone else have any experience with WW online or have any other ideas for me?  BTW, I tried Sparkpeople…it’s a confusing mess of a site for me that I did not enjoy!!

5 Thoughts on “Working Out & the slippery slope

A very simple way to do it is eat things like fruits, veggies, high fiber breads, etc for breakfast and lunch. Then for dinner cook as healthy as you can for the family and just cut down the portions for yourself. Did I ever tell you about http://www.sparkpeople.com? The best site I’ve ever seen. You can keep track of everything you’re doing and it’s free!
    Keep up the fantastic work!

  2. The question is: do you need to be accountable to someone, or can you do it yourself with good material? Online vrs. live depends on the answer to that question. Good work so far! A thumbs up from me.

  3. I always wanted to try WW online, but the cost always held me back…

  4. I’m starting something new (for me) called First Place 4 Health. It’s an all encompassing program that covers your physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health. They have a website, and if you’re interested in the materials you can buy them cheaper at CBD. I’m doing it with some friends at church, and we’re going to have a weekly meeting. However, I do believe you can do it alone.

  5. I wouldn’t worry too much about the “dieter” vs “non-dieter” food issue. The goal is to eat healthy, no matter what size/weight/age, right? Like someone said before, lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, and that’s good for everyone! J2 can still have mac n cheese once in a while 😉
