My first CSA box is a smashing success so far!

  • I’ve tried (and fell in love with) a loquat
  • tried to entice #1 son to share a pink grapefruit with me, but when that failed decided to juice them.  Wonder where my juicer is….or even if I have one anymore!
  • nibbled raw almonds (yum!!)
  • hung lavender to dry (maybe I’ll put them into a sachet for my drawers)
  • nibbled carrots for lunch (even the boys loved them!)
  • admired the beautiful onion and garlic bulbs
  • and researched how I will prepare the chard (oh yummm!), Kale (? yum ?) and beet

Here is a picture of my bounty!

Can you tell how much I love this?

BEST part?  I didn’t even have to go anywhere to enjoy all this!!

  1. It all looks yummy, especially those almonds! A blog I visit recently had a recipe of kale chips. I am going to try and link it here:

If that does not work, email me and I will send the link to you via email.

  2. Wait, this is probably a better link. She actually shows the whole process in the video segment.
